SimpleDB Database Backup Tool
RazorSQL provides a SimpleDB Database Backup Tool for backing up SimpleDB domain structures and data.
The database backup tool for Amazon SimpleDB works by generating data definition language (DDL) statements for the database domains selected by the user. These are custom DDL statements supported by the RazorSQL SimpleDB database driver. The backup also generates SQL insert statements for all attribute data in the domains. The SQL insert statements are also custom statements that are supported by the RazorSQL SimpleDB database driver. The DDL and SQL insert statements are written out to a backup file. They can then be used in conjunction with RazorSQL to create another Amazon SimpleDB database with the same data as the original.
