MySQL Rename Column
The RazorSQL alter table tool includes a Rename Column option for renaming an MySQL database table column. The rename column option allows the user to type in a new name for the column being renamed. The tool then generates and can execute the SQL to rename the column on the table.
Listed below is an example of the SQL generated by the MySQL Rename Column function:
ALTER TABLE sample.employee
CHANGE ssn ssn_new varchar(25)
